New Tasting Room Opening at 51 Lincoln
The staple restaurant is adding a tasting room to sample items not on the menu.

51 Lincoln has been open for 51 years and is a staple in the Newton Highlands community.
Some items long on the menu include watermelon steak, bolognese and many more, all envisioned and prepped by owner/chef Jeffrey Fournier.

“While we, too, love these dishes, we’re also committed to pushing the limits of our craft,” said a spokesperson in a release. “It is in this endeavor, that we’ve redesigned our private dining room and created a special concept unique to this space, The Tasting Room at 51 Lincoln.”
This new room accommodates just 20 people, and will feature five-course tasting menus that change often, and have an “adventurous spirit and talent of the entire team.”

The cost will be $65, plus tax and gratuity, to enjoy one of these exclusive tastings. None of the dishes are found on 51 Lincoln’s regular menu.

First Course
Crispy Miso Pork Belly & Clams, Mushroom Infused Broth
Second Course
Pork Rillette and Roasted Peppers, Celery Heart Salad, Shishito Pepper Vinaigrette
Third Course
Braised Lamb Neck Cakes, Cured Lamb Loin & Caramelized Peach Segments
Fourth Course
Painted Hills Ribeye, Sweet Corn Risotto, Roasted Tomato Vinaigrette,
Scallion Gremolata
Fifth Course
Charcoal Roasted Orange, Taleggio, Honey & Crushed Pecans
The reserve wine list will feature impeccable vintages, none younger than ten years, unique to The Tasting Room, said the announcement. By the bottle and glass selections are available, as is a $25 hand-selected pairing option.
To celebrate the official opening of The Tasting Room, Chef Fournier partnered with Abe Lerner from Harborwines from Norwood to create a special one-night-only menu paired with wine on July 29 ($85 plus tax & gratuity; tickets are limited and available here) .
