NY Man Arrested for Fraud, Forgery, Counterfeit Cards in Westborough

Westborough police arrested a New York man for fraud, counterfeit cards.

A man from Bronx, NY, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 27, for allegedly using numerous counterfeit cards to purchase gift cards

Around 4:08 p.m., the Westborough police responded to Stop and Shop at 32 Lyman St. for a man who was using counterfeit credit cards.

Loss Prevention told police that a black male had purchased numerous gift cards in other Stop and Shop locations and had just made a purchase at this one.

When confronted, the suspect ran from the store and ran toward Julio’s Liquors.

Det. Sgt. Peter Goodney located the suspect in front of Julio’s Liquors.

Adam Ferguson, 23, 3043 Edson Ave., Bronx, NY, was arrested for the larceny at the Stop and Shop. During the booking process, numerous counterfeit credit cards were found in his possession. Numerous gift cards from Stop and Shop were also located.

He was charged with forgery, uttering a forged credit card, credit card fraud over $250, identity fraud, larceny over $250 and possession of four or more credit cards falsely embossed.

He is being held at the Westborough Police Department and will be arraigned in WDC Monday morning.
