Obituary: Catherine Brennan, 97, of North Attleboro

BRENNAN, Catherine Doran On August 19, 2012 at age 97. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas H. Brennan, Jr. Born August 29, 1914 in Attleboro Falls, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Mary Ann (Shannon) Doran. Catherine was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro and a 1931 graduate of North Attleboro High School. She worked for several years as a secretary at Doran & Johnson Co. and later at the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment. Catherine volunteered her time at several local charities including Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro where she received a 2,000 hour pin. She is survived by four children and their spouses: Maureen Mullowney of Plymouth; Sheila and her husband Mark Fisher of North Attleboro, Thomas H. "Ty" Brennan III and his wife Karen of Attleboro Falls, and Terry and her husband Bob Petrucelli of Westboro; grandchildren: Meaghan and her husband Jim Poulin, Matt Mullowney, Sean and his wife Katie Fisher, Rebecca, Catherine, and Margaret Fisher, Carolyn and her husband Tim Cormio, Kara Brennan, Julie and her husband Ryan Moroney, and Lauren and Mary Kate Petrucelli; Great-grandchildren: Annaliese, Finn, Genevieve, Saoirse, Kathleen, Natalee, Thomas, Aislin, Teagan, and Connor. She was mother of the late Judith Brennan Hoskins; mother-in-law of the late Thomas H. Mullowney and sister of the late John, Edward, Margaret, Francis, and Joseph Doran. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 21 from 5-8 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, NORTH ATTLEBORO. A funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, August 22 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass in St. Mary's Church, North Attleboro, at 10 a.m. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
