
Jennie A. (Volpe) Bianchi, 83, of Milford, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of 63 years of Vito A. Bianchi, who died June 21, 2012.
She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Lucia (Morcone) Volpe and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1946.
Mrs. Bianchi retired in 1994 from the former Jordan Marsh, where she was employed as a sales clerk. Previously she was employed as a bookkeeper at the Central Cleaners, which her husband, Vito, owned and operated in Milford for many years. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Mrs. Bianchi was an advocate for the developmentally disabled.

She is survived by one son, James Bianchi and his partner, Scott Nisley, of San Diego, Calif.; three daughters, Louise Peterson of Cotuit, Joann and her husband, Francis Carrigan, of Milford, Lucy Bianchi of Hopedale; one brother, Anthony J. Volpe of Westborough; one sister, Ann and her husband, Anthony Micelotti, of Milford; three grandchildren, Stephen Carrigan of Rockland, Shawn Carrigan of Watertown, Christopher Cody Peterson of Marston Mills; one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Carrigan of Rockland; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 9 a.m., at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m., at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
