Obituary: Philip Winn, 83, of Naples, Fla.

WINN, Philip Drummond, 83, of Naples, FL, died Sunday, August 5, 2012, formerly of Reading, MA and Sedona, AZ, he had been a Naples resident since 2009. He was born March 23, 1929 in Reading, MA, the son of Charles and Agnes (nee Drummond) Winn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, entering June 25, 1946 and honorably discharged April 23, 1948. He was an institutional salesman for Salomon Brothers for 34 years and Branch Manager for 10. After retiring, he spent the majority of his time in Moultonboro, NH and Sedona, Arizona entertaining his family and many friends. Mr. Winn is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Helen (nee Skrodis); his loving daughters, Donna (Alex Marasco) Winn of White Plains, NY and Carol (Arthur Carr) Winn of Westborough, MA; his loyal sons, Philip (Mary) Winn of Westford, MA, Michael (Wendy) Winn of Bedford, MA and Steven Winn of Old Wick, NJ; brother, Charles (Mary Jacqueline) Winn of Meriden, CT; sister, Constance (Frank) Burke of Salem, NH; and nine cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Winn and sister, Leonore Moynihan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 17, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N., Naples. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church memorial garden.
