WESTBOROUGH, MA — A host of upgrades for pedestrians will come to the Otis Street corridor in Westborough thanks to MassDOT's "complete streets" program.

The town will receive a $500,000 grant from complete streets, a program that funds local infrastructure projects that improve conditions for bicyclists, pedestrians and transit users.

The grant will be used to build a sidewalk along the east side of Otis Street, plus flashing pedestrian beacons and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps. On the west side of Otis, the grant will fund a shared-use path, according to MassDOT.
