Police Chase Ends With Westborough Man Crashing Into Barrier

He was going to be pulled over for speeding but ended up being charged with four different violations including OUI.

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA — A Westborough man faces several charges, including driving drunk, after he led police on a short-lived chase that ended in a crash. Police said the chase started when a Southborough officer tried pulling over the man for speeding, but instead of slowing down, the car booked it.

The chase happened Friday night when an officer spotted Christopher Willet of Westborough speeding down Southville Road. Police said when the officer turned his lights on to signal for Willet to pull over, Willet picked up the pace, starting off the chase.

Police said the officer found Willet at the intersection of Parkerville Road and Turnpike Road, where he had crashed his 2020 Cadillac Escalade into the median barrier on Turnpike Road, or Route 9 East.
