The Westborough Police Department has investigated mulitple house breaks over the last week in which large amounts of jewelry and other items have been taken.
The first break occurred on Dec. 8 in the early evening hours. Someone threw a rock through a window in the rear cellar door of a house on Lydia's Path.
On Dec. 15, a resident of Weld Street discovered that someone had entered her house while she was sleeping and stole a large amount of jewelry from the bedroom she was sleeping in. The incident was discovered at 3:24 a.m. The resident reports that she did not hear anything. A window on the first floor had been inadvertently left unlocked. This appears to be how the suspect gained entry.
Sometime during the night time of Dec. 12, a resident of Nash Street reports that a vehicle was entered and cash was stolen. The garage of the residence was entered through an unlocked door and tools were also taken.
Another report was taken shortly after the Nash Street incident reporting a vehicle on Adams Street was entered and items inside were stolen. The vehicle was also unlocked.
The Westborough Police are warning all residents to make sure they lock all windows and doors to their homes and to make sure that all vehicles are locked and any items of value are removed from eyesight.
