Rash Of Car Breaks At Westborough Businesses: Police

Several car break-ins were reported Sunday near Route 9, prompting police to ask locals to secure vehicles.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — After a rash of car break-ins over the weekend, Westborough police are reminding drivers to keep valuables out of sight while parked.

The car break-ins happened on Sunday at the Westborough Tennis & Swim Club along Chauncy Street, and Release Well-Being Center along Route 9. The two businesses are located about a half mile from each other north of Route 9.

According to police, two cars were broken into at each location, and the car owners lost personal property.

"Westborough Police Department would like to remind everyone to park your cars in well-lit areas and secure all valuables whether out in the public or at your residence," the department said Monday.
