Readers Choose Michelle's South Street Salon

After a for the best salon in town,  came out on top.

The by-appointment salon, which is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays, was popular in the poll and in our Patch Places directory, where it earned a handful of five-star reviews. (Both votes and reviews in our directory are factored in to the contest.)

"We love that," owner  said in a phone interview this morning. "We have awesome clientele."

Michelle's has "the atmosphere of a hometown place with the professionalism and skill of an uptown salon," .

The salon has been at its current location for seven years; Poulin, a Northbridge resident, has worked in town since 1996.

In addition to Poulin, the salon has two stylists: Kathy Mitsin and Holly Daigle.

Congratulations also goes to our runner-up, , which almost matched Michelle's in votes.
