Westborough Schools Canceled For A Second Day, Parking Rules Remain In Place

More than 13 inches of snow have fallen in parts of town.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A major blizzard hit Massachusetts, and some cities and towns in Central Massachusetts saw more than a foot of snow.

More than 13 inches of snow have fallen in parts of Westborough, as of 3:52 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. A state of emergency remains in effect across multiple counties in the state, and Westborough took precautions ahead of the storm, including closing schools and public buildings.

Parking Ban

The town asked residents to avoid on-street parking, as part of an Emergency Winter Parking Ban that went into effect on Sunday at 9 p.m. Westborough said it would remain in effect until Tuesday at noon.

All vehicles parked on-street would be ticketed and towed, according to the town.

School Closures

All Westborough Public Schools buildings and offices will be closed for a second day on Tuesday, the school district announced on Monday. Decisions regarding sports and evening programs will be on Tuesday.
