SCREENAGERS Film Showing This Week in Westborough
A community screening of the film SCREENAGERS will take place this Thursday, March 22nd at 7 pm in the Westborough High School auditorium.
It's a familiar topic among adults these days: children "growing up in the digital age." With the increasing presence of screens in all areas of children's lives, parents and caregivers are challenged with setting limits on kids and avoiding endless arguments on what is enough. Rather than struggle alone, the film's creator, physician Delaney Ruston, takes viewers on her journey as a parent seeking knowledge for herself and her own children about the social and physical impact of screens on kids. Through this personal narrative and discussions with experts and children, SCREENAGERS seeks to educate and empower parents/caregivers and children to achieve a healthy balance.
A live panel discussion will follow the film. The panel includes educators, mental health professionals and a local pediatrician and will be moderated by Karen Henderson of Westborough TV.
