Storm Knocks Out Power, Trees, Damages Road Signs in Westborough
Firefighters have been working with crews overnight. More than 300 are still without power.
WESTBOROUGH, MA—Firefighters from Westborough joined other crews overnight, responding to more than 60 calls for service after a damaging thunderstorm.
As of 4 p.m. on Saturday, 328 of 8,548 Westborough customers were still without power, with National Grid estimating a restore time around 6:30 p.m.
Westborough Fire reported that the damage, which spread up and down Route 9, included a billboard ripped from the ground. DPW has been removing trees from roadways and is continuing cleanup on Sunday and Monday.
