Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

SUDBURY, MA — There were a handful of accidents reported on the main arteries in the state, and in some towns today, including Sudbury. Some areas have experienced power outages, mostly on the South Shore and the Cape, but none have been reported so far in Sudbury. Police Chief Scott Nix told Patch that there was one motor vehicle accident, with a car hitting a telephone pole at 5:44 a.m. on Lincoln Road on Wednesday morning. By noon on Thursday, Sudbury reports a couple of accidents that happened on Route 117. One of these accidents was a head-on collision, but there were no injuries. There was also a car off the road on Old Framingham Road on Thursday morning. "The DPW is keeping up the best they can," said Nix. While no specific totals were reported on the National Weather Service so far for Sudbury, nearby Natick reportedly had three inches on the ground by 11 a.m. on Thursday. Patch file photo
