Sullivan: No Conflict of Interest

She said she has filed a state ethics commission disclosure document with the town clerk's office regarding the school department's chemical health policy.

Westborough School Committee member Nicole Sullivan said she has filed a state ethics commission disclosure document with the town clerk’s office regarding the school department’s chemical health policy.

On May 22, school board member Jody Hensley questioned whether Sullivan, a lawyer, had a conflict of interest on the issue.

Sullivan said Wednesday night she spoke with someone at the state ethics commission on Tuesday and was "clearly told that there was absolutely no conflict of interest.”

Sullivan said she then went “above and beyond” and filed the disclosure document.

Hensley said that  "someone suggested I ask about the conflict of interest, because they found it" in the board’s minutes.

Member Bruce Tretter told Sullivan that the minutes show "you made a comment about representing students.”

"Jody raised the question, and I said, 'Here is the context,'" Tretter said.
