Take Back Your Prescription Drugs in Westborough

Westborough is not taking part in national prescription drug take-back day, but you can take them back any day, or Oct. 31.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—Many police departments across the country are taking part in the National Drug Take Back Initiative on Saturday, Oct. 22.The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day "aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications."

Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon says that while Westborough is not technically taking part in the national initiative, there is a drop-off box in the Westborough Police Department's lobby that is open 24-7. Also, there is a prescription pill takeback day on Oct. 31 at the Westborough Senior Center from 10 a.m. to noon.
