Achieve TMS East, with locations in Northampton, Holyoke, Springfield, Amherst, Worcester, and Pittsfield, is the first in Westborough to offer Brainsway’s Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (dTMS) - launching a new era in the treatment of depression. Major Depression - a condition characterized by feelings of deep sadness and loss of interest in life - is one of the most common psychiatric disorders in the United States. It affects over 15 million adults overall, and approximately 1 out of 6 people in the U.S. will suffer a major depressive episode in their lifetime.

Brainsway’s Deep TMS, a safe, non-invasive treatment, is based on patents filed by the National Institute of Heatlh and has been FDA (Federal Drug Administration) approved since 2008. Brainsway’s Deep TMS has been tested in over 60 clinical studies in leading institutions worldwide. Deep TMS treatment stimulates a brain region involved in depression and brings significant improvement to patients. The brief 20-minute outpatient treatments allow for little to no disruption in a patient’s daily activity. Immediately after
treatment, patients are able to drive home and return to their daily routine, including work commitments. Additionally, over 50% of Brainsway Deep TMS patients have had positive response rates following a 6-week period of treatment.
