Town Of Westborough: Congratulations To The July 2021 Employee Excellence Award Winner Marcos Passos!

The Employee Excellence Award committee is pleased to present this award to Marcos Passos in the DPW. 

A relatively new addition to the DPW Cemetery division, Marcos is described as “an impact employee” who conducts himself with “professionalism, competence and an easy-going nature” whose efforts in the four Town cemeteries are routinely complimented by residents. His work to maintain ‘line of sight’ safety for traffic and pedestrians with effective landscaping and his volunteering to work early morning hours and Saturdays on intersection maintenance to minimize traffic flow are a reflection of his willingness to extend himself beyond his regular duties to keep Town byways safe. “On his own initiative, Marcos employed a phone application to map over 100 trash barrels in order to increase his efficiency and train new employees on trash removal.”  When assigned the responsibility to take on plowing sidewalks in the winter, he applied that same mapping technique to increase productivity.  Marcos’s demonstration of ‘every day’ excellence on the job marks him as truly deserving of recognition and thanks.
