Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A tractor trailer hit the rail bridge along East Main Street on Sunday evening, according to police. The incident happened near where CSX freight rail tracks cross East Main Street near State Street, northeast of the downtown Westborough area. Westborough Officer Michael Turco used a department drone to inspect damage to the tractor trailer, which police said was disabled by the incident. Westborough police acquired a drone in 2017 to inspect traffic incidents, photograph crashes and overwatch large crowds. The department is one of the few in the region that use the unmanned devices along with Natick, Oxford and Franklin police.
