WET WEATHER PLAN: We are currently watching the weather forecast for Saturday and waiting for the hourly predictions.&nbsp;Our Many Faiths, One Earth program will be ON, rain or shine! (see full info below) We have a full back-up plan of indoor programming at Congregation B'nai Shalom if it ends up raining 2-4pm that day, including presentations about biodiversity gardens, invasive species, supporting bee populations, and the opportunity to help make tunneling bee homes and help repot plants. Either way, everyone starts at the congregation at 2pm. We will also post updates here by 8am that morning. Join Central MA Connections in Faith for an afternoon of environmental service and interfaith connection, with opportunities to volunteer at a local trail or garden site, or participate in hands-on activities at the temple. These activities will be followed by refreshments and guided table conversations about how our ethical and faith traditions call us to care for the Earth.
RSVP is appreciated in advance, but you are welcome to join on the day. (CBS members please sign up as we are providing refreshments as the host community)
Attendees should arrive at Congregation B'nai Shalom at 2pm to sign up/select their off premises work site (all of which are less than 10 minutes drive away), or choose to stay on site for activities at the temple.
'Go and Serve' off site activities involve light gardening and weeding at local biodiversity or food insecurity gardens, or pulling invasive species at a local nature preserve. 'Stay and Serve' on site activities are designed for those unable to participate in these physical tasks and will include nature-based activities while seated at tables and a presentation about environmental ethics across multiple faith traditions.
Hands-on activities will run from 2.30-4pm.&nbsp;
Refreshments and facilitated table conversations will run from 4.15-6pm.
You are welcome to either or both parts of the afternoon.
If you would like to help at an off-site biodiversity or food insecurity garden please bring gardening hand tools if you have them.

When you arrive, please follow the cones and directions from the workers. Bring your vehicle as close to the truck or dumpster as possible. Feel free to remain in your vehicle, our workers will unload your items for you. 
Residents from all towns and communities are welcome to recycle. The event will be rain or shine. Computer hard drives will be destroyed during the recycling process, but can be removed on-site at the event for an additional charge. Cash payment is preferred, but checks will be an acceptable form of payments over $30.

You become a Dementia Friend by attending a free 90-minute information session to learn the five key messages about living with dementia and the simple things you can do to make your community a safer, supportive, and more inclusive place for people living with dementia and their care partners.
What Happens at the Information Session?
It’s an engaging and interactive discussion led by an experienced volunteer Dementia Friends Champion. You’ll learn what dementia is, the different types, what it’s like to live with it, tips for communicating with people with dementia, and about the extensive available resources and support for families and care partners.

“This has opened my eyes.”&nbsp;“I wish I knew this five years ago when my family was going through it.”&nbsp;“I will be much more aware at work and out in my community.”

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA.
