Troop 4 Westborough Shrewsbury Newest Eagle
Troop 4 gets another eagle to add to its long list

American Legion Ray Stone Post 238 and Troop 4 Westborough/Shrewsbury are proud to announce that Matthew R. Wolohan, 16 of Shrewsbury, has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout on March 4, 2015. The date for the Eagle Scout presentation ceremony is yet to be announced.
Matthew is the son of Daniel and Patricia Wolohan and is a sophomore at St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury. He is an active member of the St. John’s Street Hockey Club, Ski Club, and French Club and is a hockey player for the Shrewsbury Youth Hockey Association Midget Team.
Matthew has been active in scouting from 1st grade on as a former Cub Scout with Pack 158 at St. Mary’s Church in Shrewsbury. He earned the Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts and Parvuli Dei Catholic religious award before becoming a Boy Scout. As a Boy Scout, Matthew has attended Scouting’s High Adventure Camps of Northern Tier in Minnesota canoeing 105 miles, The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia and he is scheduled to attend Seabase in Florida this August. During Matthew’s time with the Troop he has become a member of the Order of the Arrow (the Honor Society of Scouting), attended National Youth Leadership Training and attained numerous merit badges on his path to Eagle. He presently serves as a Patrol Leader for the troop and was the troop’s Senior Patrol Leader last summer at Camp Resolute where they earned Honor Troop. His future plans are to seek a nomination to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point or receive an Army ROTC scholarship to a local college. Congratulations to Matthew and his family!
