Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough Welcomes New Music Director
Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Westborough welcomes new music director, Kala Farnham at the In-Gathering Worship service on Sept. 10th
The Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough (UUCSW) is pleased to announce they have a new Music Director! “I believe music has a distinct power to unify us and elevate us to a spiritual state, and it's an honor for me to share the gift of music with others through my work as a director,” says the new Music Director at the UUCSW, Ms. Kala Farnham. “We are so delighted to have Ms. Farnham join the staff,” says the Rev. Beverly Waring, minister of the congregation. “She brings skill and education, yes, but more importantly she brings a passion for music that’s based in her connection to Unitarian Universalism. Ms. Farnham said, ‘I felt a strong resonance between my personal beliefs and Unitarian Universalism and that led me to the UUCSW congregation.”
As an award winning performing songwriter /multi-instrumentalist with two albums under her belt, Kala Farnham brings a world of experience in many aspects of music such as a pianist, cantor, piano and guitar teacher, private vocal coach, accompanist, composer, choir director and music theater director. She has studied music creation, music performance, and a variety of vocal performance aspects. The members of the choir at UUCSW are very excited to welcome and work with Ms. Farnham, and the congregation is looking forward to enjoying her musical contributions to Sunday Worship, starting September 10th.
