
WESTBOROUGH, MA—Officials announced that Westborough is upgrading its non-essential water use mandatory ban, effective on Wednesday, Aug. 3.
Due to the state declaring a water drought warning for the area, the town is implementing the following restrictions:
- All lawn watering via sprinklers or irrigation
- Washing of vehicles, except as necessary for operator safety
- Washing of exterior building surfaces, parking lots, driveways and sidewalks, except as necessary to apply paint, preservatives, stucco, pavement or cement

- Odd houses can water on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Even houses can water on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Prohibited water uses between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- No watering of any kind on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays
- No watering between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on any day
