Upgraded Water Ban Issued for Westborough

The town is upgrading its water ban.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—Officials announced that Westborough is upgrading its non-essential water use mandatory ban, effective on Wednesday, Aug. 3.

Due to the state declaring a water drought warning for the area, the town is implementing the following restrictions:

  • All lawn watering via sprinklers or irrigation
  • Washing of vehicles, except as necessary for operator safety
  • Washing of exterior building surfaces, parking lots, driveways and sidewalks, except as necessary to apply paint, preservatives, stucco, pavement or cement

  • Odd houses can water on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Even houses can water on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Prohibited water uses between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • No watering of any kind on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays
  • No watering between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on any day
