Westboro Announces April Employee Excellence Winner

WESTBOROUGH, MA — The Employee Excellence Award committee announced this month's winner. Patti Mespelli in the Town Assessor’s Office is this month's honoree. Due to a sharp increase in taxes this year, the Assessor’s office has been under extreme duress.

As the first point of contact, Mespelli “has demonstrated an extraordinary level of patience and compassion to the taxpayers most impacted," according to the committee, "She tracks and follows up to ensure deadlines are met.”

The committee high lighted her patient and sensitive work with seniors simplifying complicated processes, and her dedicated outreach and persistence have ensured that they have been able to take advantage of existing tax relief programs where needed. “It is through Patti’s excellence that these taxpayers become willing and able to make it through the (otherwise overwhelming) process,” the committee said.
