Westborough Artist's Work Will Be On Lips Of Many At Big MA Beer Event
Artist Shawnna Lyons-Dambeck designs textiles for stores like Kohl's and Homegoods. The Mass Brewers Guild is now using her work.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A Westborough artist's work will be the toast of Massachusetts this March.
A design by local artist Shawnna Lyons-Dambeck, 35, was picked by the Mass Brewer's Guild — the trade group representing scores of craft brewers across the state — for all promotional materials for the guild's upcoming Mass Beer Week.
Lyons-Dambeck's design depicts the gradient of Massachusetts landscapes, from farms and hills out west, to the Boston area to shoreline lighthouses. The design will be featured on special promotional pint glasses up for sale at the brewing summit.

You might already know Lyons-Dambeck's art: she works as a fiber and textile artist, designing products for retailers like Marshalls, Homegoods and Kohl's.
“I’ve never designed a full-wrap pint glass before. I typically do a lot of watercolor, hand painted looks,” she said in a news release. “A graphic design like this has to look clean and precise. It was a challenge for me that needed a different mindset."

She first encountered a commemorative Mass Beer Week glass while having a pint at Redemption Rock Brewing in Worcester in 2021, according to the guild.
Mass Beer Week runs March 4 to 11. More than 50 breweries across the state will participate in the celebration, which is meant to spotlight local craft brewers. You'll be able to find Lyons-Dambeck's glasses up for sale and in use at participating breweries, including local ones like Exhibit 'A' in Framingham, Start Line in Hopkinton, Tackle Box in Marlborough and Redemption Rock.
“It’s incredible to have my design be a part of a celebration that’s all about supporting local breweries,” she said in a news release. “As a local artist trying to support myself, I get the need to contribute and support local. Whenever we buy a four pack we make sure it’s Mass-made.”
