Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Awards Prestigious Grant
Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is proud to present one of its three 2018 award recipients: The KIVA Center.

From Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital: Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital announces Partners in Excellence, an annual recognition event. The award acknowledges non-profit organizations with a positive standing in the community that share the goals, mission/vision and values of the Hospital; and are positively positioned to impact the lives of those with mental illness or substance use disorders; said Patrick Moallemian, Chief Executive Officer at Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital.
Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is proud to present one of its three 2018 award recipients: The KIVA Center. Along with this recognition, the Hospital will present The KIVA Center /Transformation Center, Inc. with a donation of $ 2,000 for their general funds at an event held on Feb 20, 2018 1:00pm at 209 Shrewsbury Street Worcester MA.
Then KIVA Center is a Recovery Learning Community is a peer-to-peer network that provides support to people struggling with mental health or trauma issues. The Kiva Center, which opened in 2007, is one of six RLCs across the state, and serves 54 cities and towns.

Director, Brenda Vezina, said “the center’s goal is holistic, rather than simply treating a person’s symptoms.” “Our vision is Pioneering hope and wellness through shared journeys." As shared in their vision and mission statements, the Center believes that relationships are the epicenter of what heal people who have experienced emotional or any other general life challenges. We are united by our shared experiences and Humanness”; said, Ms. Vezina. She added: “Our stories, collective wisdom, and strengths guide us and our community to wellness. Every single one of us is unique and may not have been exactly where you are, but we have been somewhere similar. So, join us to share experiences and together we will be able to provide HELP, HOPE, and PEER SUPPORT to one another.”
