Westborough To Elect Delegates To Democratic State Convention
This year's state convention will be held September 14.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — Registered Democrats in Westborough will hold a caucus at 7:00 on Tuesday, May 21 at Tatnuck Booksellers to elect delegates and alternates to the 2019 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. There will be a meeting immediately following the caucus. Tatnuck Booksellers is at 18 Lyman Street in Westborough.
This year’s state convention will be held September 14th at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, where thousands of Democrats from across the state will come together to discuss Party business and celebrate our successes as we prepare for upcoming elections.
The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Westborough. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 16 years old by May 11, 2019 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Westborough can elect nine delegates and four alternates to the Convention.

"For people interested in being involved in politics, this is a great opportunity to learn more and meet like minded people," said Kate Donaghue, chair of the Westborough Democratic Town Committee. "There are some wonderful candidates in the Democratic presidential primary. At this meeting we will also discuss ways to get involved in campaigns, both locally and nationally," she added.
Youth, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or at www.massdems.org.
