Westborough Environmental Action Fair Coming Up

The event will be this weekend and will include an exhibit hall with about 40 vendors, state and regional agencies, and non-profits.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — The Westborough Environmental Action Fair is coming up Saturday. Westborough High School will host the event which will include speakers, an exhibit hall, and more.

The fair will kickoff at 12 noon with the Keynote - Climate Feedback Loops, with Melanie Wallace, Emmy Award winning producer, formerly with the PBS science series NOVA discussing a film series about natural warming loops that have scientists alarmed—and why we have less time than we think. We will also have Dr Gegear, professor of Biology, discussing the plight of pollinators and an amazing panel of Mill Pond students who will provide the perspective of the next generation on climate change.

The fair will have an Exhibit Hall open from 1-4PM with about 40 vendors, state and regional agencies and non-profits. These will provide information on a wide array of topics including Heat Pumps, Solar Developers, Composting, Gardening, Tree planting, E-Bikes, local farming with food for sale, children's books on climate and other environmental topics, sustainable household products and advocacy in support of all of these topics. A local artist will guide an interactive art project which encourages attendees to participate in the development of a piece of art and in environmental actions. About 20 student exhibitors representing all of the schools in town showing their work on a wide array of environmental topics.
