Westborough Lions Club to Host Youth Speech Competition

Public Speaking Competition for Westborough Students in Grades 9-12

The Westborough Lions Club is hosting a Youth Speech Competition at Westborough High School on Tuesday, November 29th for Westborough students in grades 9-12. Private and home-schooled students who reside in Westborough are also welcome to participate. The topic is: Being Politically Correct: Is It Taken Too Far?

This is a public speaking competition with potential prizes at the local level up through the state level of more than $1500! The winner of the Westborough competition will go on to compete against other Zone II winners from Berlin, Bolton, Clinton, Harvard, and Northborough in December. Subsequent contests include Region 1, District 33A, and ultimately the state final in May 2017.

Those interested in participating in the contest should visit the Westborough Lions website at: westboroughlionsclub.org. The deadline to sign up is Monday, November 7th.
