Westborough Loses Author, Veteran

David W. Herter, 65, of Westborough, passed away on Jan. 12. He was the husband of Mary Jo Herter. During the Vietnam era, he served with the US Army. In 1991, he began his own business. Starting his own business provided the freedom for Herter to devote more time to his real passion, writing. He was the published author of News At Eleven. Donations in his memory may be made to the David W. Herter Memorial Scholarship for Young Authors Fund, c/o Town Treasurer, 34 West Main St., Westborough, MA 01581.
