Westborough Officials Perform Ice Rescue

WESTBOROUGH, MA- Fire and police officials rescued a 19-year-old boy who fell through the ice at Mill Road Pond, Monday.

The teen had been ice skating with a friend when he fell through the ice. Westborough police say they received about seven emergency calls about the incident.

Officials were able to pull the boy from the water. The victim was sent to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester for evaluation. Hopkinton fire crews arrived on scene to assist in the rescue alongside Westborough officials.
