Westborough Rugby Player Named Among Region’s Top Spring Athletes: Boston Globe
A Westborough student-athlete has been recognized as one of the region's top spring high school athletes.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — A Westborough student-athlete has been recognized as one of the region’s top spring high school athletes.
Jack Wallace, a junior at Algonquin Regional High School from Westborough, was named a 2025-26 Boys Rugby All-Scholastic by The Boston Globe. The three-year starter at flyhalf had 29 conversions, 4 tries and 84 points for Algonquin, which reached the Division 2 semifinals, according to the Globe.
Wallace also served as a team captain, plays Summer 7s for the New England Rugby Club and made the Free Jacks Academy team, according to the Globe.

Each season, the Boston Globe’s All-Scholastics list recognizes standout high school athletes and coaches from across the region. The 2025-26 spring list includes athletes from sports such as baseball, softball, lacrosse, track, tennis, golf, volleyball, and rugby, according to the Globe.
Westborough Boosters congratulated Wallace in an announcement, calling the honor an accomplishment for a Ranger.
