WESTBOROUGH, MA — The Westborough Fire Department took the time on Monday to honor three YMCA employees. They may not be first responders, but they acted quickly on Friday and helped save a person who had passed out while playing sports in the center.

The department said Dom Spina, Chelsea Seresin, and Chris Perrault successfully performed CPR and utilized an AED on a person who collapsed while participating in sports. The three were able to keep the person stable until the paramedics arrived.

Fire officials said when first responders got to the scene the person was awake. The victim was not identified but officials said they are doing well.
