Westborough's 2016 ELECTION RESULTS: Clinton, Eldridge, Yes to Farm Animal Reforms
Patch's updated roundup, including live updates and results, of Tuesday's election.
WESTBOROUGH, MA—Trump. Clinton. Johnson. Stein. With contentions hotter than a branding iron, America marches to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 8, for one of the most historical presidential elections in most of our lifetimes.
From 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., voters hit voting booths across the country, electing not only our next commander-in-chief, but members of congress, state representatives and senators, councillors and county sheriffs in their communities.

Update: When Warden Dave Lamothe arrived at Westborough High School on Tuesday morning, there was a line. The first person in line was a young girl, sitting down. He said to her, "Hey, you're number one - it's like a concert or something."
By 4:30 p.m., a steady stream of residents still poured into Westborough High School. Lamothe said that the "voting has been going great. Early voting was a huge success, and it's been a very happy crowd. Our new setup is working really well. We've got an excellent town clerk and assistant town clerk; if we didn't have them, it would be a very trying day."

Holding signs for Danielle Gregoire with her niece Melanie Sotosilva, Valerie Wilkinson said she'd gotten nothing but smiles and beeps of drivers pulling into the voting place. "I like who I voted for," she said. "I'm very confident."
Lamothe estimated that 80 percent or more of the town had already voted, counting early voters.
Kyle Bell, who has lived in Westborough since 2011, arrived at the polls with his new wife, and remarked, "It's safe to say I am going for Hillary. I would have voted for Bernie in the primaries, but missed them. Trump just made some remarks so that I knew I didn't want that guy representing us as a whole. I was in Paris in late August, and people were laughing and asking questions to me about Trump. The whole world would laugh at us if he were president."
"We are wearing our bras today!" laughed Julie Holden, who had just voted with her friend from high school, and both are educators. "Go Hillary. We were excited to vote for the first president. She's the only choice, really. "
