Westborough's 300th Anniversary Year is Underway!

The 300th Anniversary Planning Committee is very busy planning events for the folks in town to enjoy and celebrate this special milestone!

Please check out the Westborough 300th Anniversary website at westborough300.com to learn all about the many plans and projects the committee is working on to make 2017 a great year. Here are some of the highlights:

The 1717 Shoppe, our commemorative store, is filled with many items including the works of local artists, the books of local authors, and the handmade creations of local artisans. Our store features an art gallery with featured artists that rotate each month. We are also selling many 300th branded items of clothing, glassware, home decor, and even specialty items for children and golfers! The 1717 Shoppe is located in the Westborough Shopping Center on Lyman Street, Westborough.

The Westborough Historical Society and our Library is sponsoring many historical walks and talks all about our town's history and the people who helped to mold it. For a full schedule, please see our website.

Save these dates! Saturday, June 10, 2017 is Family Fun Day. The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, the Westborough Rotary Club, and the 300th Anniversary Committee are partnering to bring a fun-filled day of activities, games, music, and fireworks for everyone

Sunday, September 10, 2017 - This is the day set for our Grand Parade! We are currently accepting applications from individuals, organizations, and businesses to enter floats and marching units. We hope that this will be a fantastic parade with at least 100 units participating in recognition of our status as the 100th town incorporated in this state!

Saturday, October 7, 2017 - Time to dance and celebrate at the 300th Gala with the music of a swing band, delicious food, and the company of our Westborough citizens.

We are still looking for individual donations and business sponsors to support our events. It is our goal to keep as much as possible free and open to everyone. We also hope to keep any ticket prices affordable for as many folks as possible. Sponsorship information is also available on our website.
