
The Westborough High School varsity softball team's season ended Thursday with a 13-4 loss to host St. Peter-Marian in a 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Softball Central Division 1 first round game, according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.
St. Peter-Marian will play host Nashoba in a quarter final at 2 p.m. Saturday, according to the MIAA.
The Rangers, who finished the regular season with a 10-10 record, were seeded tenth in the 11-team tournament. St. Peter-Marian (12-8) is seeded seventh. Nashoba (15-5) is seeded second, and received a first round bye.

The winner advances to the semi final round at 3 p.m. Monday against today's Tantasqua-Shrewsbury quarter final winner.
The Rangers (14-2) are seeded second in the nine-team bracket. St. Peter-Marian (9-6) is seeded seventh. Tantasqua (10-6) is seeded sixth. Shrewsbury (13-3) is seeded third. All four teams received first round byes.
The Westborough High School girls tennis team, meanwhile, is seeded first in the MIAA Girls Team Tennis Central Division 1 tournament.
