WHS Students to Present The Wizard of Oz

Westborough High School Center Stage Theater Company will present the beloved classic musical, The Wizard of Oz, March 3-5, 2017.

When a tornado rips through her small Kansas town, Dorothy Gale and her dog, Toto, are swept up over the rainbow to the mysterious Land of Oz. There, they meet Witches--both good and evil, Munchkins, Monkeys, Jitterbugs, and much more! Come see Dorothy and her friends, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Lion journey through this magical land to meet the Great and Powerful Wizard of Oz. This classic story comes to life March 3, 4, and 5th at Westborough High School!

WHS Performing Arts faculty members Anne Slotnick (Director), Alyson Greer Espinosa (Music Director), and Evan Doyle (Pit Orchestra Director) are working together on their third musical production. This year, they are joined by Jennifer Jango-Cohen, WHS Guidance Counselor, who is choreographing the show. Over eighty students make up the cast, crew, and pit orchestra, ranging from freshman to seniors. This will be the final WHS musical production for the ten seniors in the cast, as well as the many more members of the Class of 2017 on production team, technical crew, and pit orchestra.

Performances are…

Friday, March 3rd at 7pm

Saturday, March 4th at 2pm and 7pm

Sunday, March 5th at 2pm.

Following the Saturday and Sunday matinee performances, there will be a brief meet and greet session with the cast for any children who wish to meet the characters from this beloved show!

All performances will be held at Westborough High School.

Tickets Prices:

Adults: $15

Students: $12

K-6 students: $5
