WHS Volleyball Reaches Sectional Final

The Westborough High School varsity volleyball team has reached the sectional final.

The Rangers defeated visiting Medfield, 3-1, in the 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Volleyball Central Division 2 semi-final, according to the tournament website.

Westborough will face Canton in the final at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hudson.

Saturday's winner advances to the state semi-final against a Western Mass. team, WHS Director of Athletics Johanna DiCarlo said Thursday.

Westborough (16-2 regular season) is seeded second in the 15-team tournament. Canton (17-2) is seeded first. Medfield (16-4) is seeded third.
