Youth Cheer Places 2nd at Nationals

Westborough Youth Cheer's D13 team placed second at the nationals in Orlando, Fla. on Saturday, Director Jessica Meleski said today.

The team also record its highest score -- 127 -- of the competition season, she said.

The Westborough team returned home with a trophy from the nationals, where they competed against three other teams, Meleski said.

"It's fantastic. I couldn't be more proud," she said.

Westborough Youth Cheer is in its second year.

This year's D10 team reached the New England Regionals, where its division included 11 teams, Meleski said.

"They had a very big challenge," she said.
