6th DUI Arrest for Man in Boston Road Crash
Nelson Progin has "continued to act recklessly without care or concern for himself and the safety of other drivers."

GROTON, MA — A New Hampshire man was charged with his sixth drunk driving offense following a crash in Groton over the weekend.

Nelson Progin, 52, of Sugar Hill, was arrested Saturday. Police said he crashed on Boston Road near Forge Village Road at about 4:30 p.m. He was charged with DUI (sixth offense), drug possession, negligent driving, unlicensed driving, and a lane violation.
“This man has continued to act recklessly without care or concern for himself and the safety of other drivers on the road,” Grotn Police Chief Donald Palma said in a statement. “Additional charges may be forthcoming.”

Progin has a criminal history that includes convictions for sexual assault and battery. He license was revoked in 2014.
