98 Percent of Westford Teachers 'Proficient' in State Rankings

Westford teachers scored higher than their peers in a new state ranking system.

The latest Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Educator Evaluation found 98 percent of Westford teachers were “proficient” or “exemplary.” Here’s how the rest of Westford teachers ranked:

• Needs Improvement: 1.8
• Unsatisfactory: 0.4

Of the 372 school districts evaluated, an average of 86.5 percent of teachers were proficient or exemplary.

This is the second year the state has conducted the rankings.
