Abstract Encaustic Art at Rosenbush Community Center on Sept. 2

Darcy Schultz, an artist at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell presents her abstract series “glow” at the Avis gallery, 65 Main St, Westford Center.
Opening reception for the public 6:30-8pm on Tue. Sept. 2 during the farmer’s market.
An art therapist, Darcy draws her inspiration from the human condition in the natural world. This colorful series is meant to invoke the sense of hope and limitlessness.

Encaustic means to “burn in” Beeswax and damar varnish are melted and applied with heat to create it’s jewel-like colors in the series. Also included are a few large-scale oil paintings.
