Altercation At Littleton JV Lacrosse Game Under Investigation: PD

Police said the incident allegedly involved a coach and a student-athlete.

LITTLETON, MA – An alleged altercation at a junior varsity lacrosse game in Littleton is under investigation, police said. Officers responded to Alumni Field around 6:20 p.m. for a report of an altercation involving a coach and a student-athlete.

No injuries were reported and so far no charges have been filed.

"Officers conducted a preliminary investigation into the incident, and are continuing the investigative process in close cooperation with the Littleton Public Schools," Acting Police Chief Matthew Pinard and Superintendent Kelly Clenchy said in a joint statement. "At this point, the investigation is active and ongoing, and officers are working diligently to sort out the facts about what occurred during yesterday’s game."

According to the Littleton High School athletic schedule, the boys' junior varsity team played at home Tuesday evening against Concord-Carlisle High School.
