A caravan of five cars and three trucks was used to safely transport the surplus goods from pickup to distribution points. The delivery was part of an ongoing alliance between the Westford Rotary Club and the Walmart retail location in Hudson, New Hampshire. Once or twice each month, dedicated club members—including actively engaged leadership and staff representatives from Bridges® by EPOCH at Westford—mobilize to collect surplus, returned, or discontinued inventory. The program not only helps those in need, but also repurposes goods, keeping them out of local landfills.

"Our collaboration with the Westford Rotary Club represents a beautiful synergy of purpose, allowing us to extend our care beyond the walls of our community to touch the lives of our neighbors in profound ways," said Cindy Schultz, Senior Advisor at Bridges® by EPOCH at Westford. "Being on the ground to sort, pack, and transport these essential goods is incredibly rewarding. This initiative not only breathes new life into surplus merchandise that would otherwise be thrown out, but it ensures that vulnerable individuals, local families, and school children receive critical support.’’

Benefitting from the delivery were a host of local organizations, including:

·The Wish Project

"Kudos to our team at Westford," said Joanna Cormac-Burt, Chief Operating Officer of EPOCH. " EPOCH has maintained a proud tradition of working hand-in-hand with the local communities we serve. We are proud of Westford's leadership, showcasing corporate citizenship that is part of our organization’s mission.
