β’ Westford School Ranked High In New Analysis (patch.com) β Westford families have fresh reason to be proud, with Westford Academy ranked 23rd among Massachusetts public high schools in Niche's new 2027 Best Schools analysis. The nationwide study evaluated tens of thousands of schools and highlights Westford Academy's strong performance in a highly competitive state education landscape.

β’ Las officially leaves role as Westford Town Manager (westfordcat.org) β Westford residents now have Assistant Town Manager Mike Edwards serving as interim town manager after Kristen Las officially stepped down on Sept. 30 following more than three years in the role. During her tenure, she helped launch the town's first strategic plan, advanced long-term capital planning, and strengthened communications, while a 13-member search committee of residents and board representatives now begins recommending candidates for her permanent successor.

β’ Public Schools consider new guidelines for digital learning (westfordcat.org) β Westford families could soon see new district-wide guidelines on how much technology students use in class, as Superintendent Christopher Chew proposes a two-year goal to balance digital tools with traditional learning by June 2028. The plan would set age-appropriate expectations, add lessons on managing screen time, and give parents more guidance, while also tying into broader curriculum alignment and communication improvements.
