Building Bones, Balance and Strength

Free health programs help participants to build strength, improve balance and reduce the risk of falls.

If you're like many people, you've set new goals for 2012 and perhaps at least one or more of those goals include working toward better health.

Just in time for the New Year and those who are newly enthused to meet their health goals, the Westford Council on Aging is offering two health programs designed to help increase strength, decrease fall risk and improve balance.

A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program being offered at no cost to participants however regular attendance is expected. The program promises to increase participant activity levels and to decrease the risk of falls. Registrations are now being accepted and classes will be held once a number of interested persons have registered.

The second health offering is a program known as Bone Builders. This program works on improving balance and strength building. Afternoon classes and morning classes are available at no cost to participants.
