In Recognition of National Teacher Appreciation Week, We Give Thanks...

The role a teacher has in a child's life does not end when the academic year comes to a close.  For in addition to providing instruction on the many subjects required throughout a class year, a good teacher is also instrumental in teaching compassion, acceptance, diversity, self esteem, self confidence, and more. For many children, their teacher is also their hero!  I firmly believe the role a teacher has in a student's life is just as instrumental as the role we, as parents, have for our children.  As parents, we put faith in our teachers to further support the (academic, social, and developmental) growth we want for our children.  In return, a good teacher embraces the opportunity to share his/her knowledge, accepts the importance of the role he/she has in our childrens' future, and interacts with our children with passion and respect. A good teacher remains in our thoughts long after our school years are over! 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those teachers who have had such a positive impact in my daughters' lives.  Your teachings in and out of the classroom will never go unnoticed.
