New workshop on Feb. 13 shows organizations how Westford CAT can help extend their reach into the community.

By Lauren Horton, Manager, Westford CAT

Westford CAT is offering a special workshop this month, designed especially for local organizations. If you are involved in marketing for your organization’s events and services, then you will want to register for this workshop, which will be held on Monday, February 13th at 6pm, at the studio on 487 Groton Road.

In one hour, you will learn the many ways you can expand your reach when you add Westford CAT to your marketing plans. Whether it’s posting an announcement to the community bulletin board, creating a short public service announcement, recording an interview program in our studio, or covering an event that your organization holds, there are plenty of ways that you can use Westford CAT to add visibility and clarity to your message.  And, we’ve just ordered a dozen more flip cameras to make your recording efforts as simple as possible. We’ve added many new shows to our Public Access Channels this week. Last week Legal Ease producer Ernie Hyde interviewed two local police officers, both of whom are the leaders for their individual departments on domestic violence. Detective Matthew Furlong from the Westford Police Department and Officer Pablo Fernandez from the Littleton Police Department discuss the elements, outcomes and specific Massachusetts law regarding domestic violence. Both officers have years of experience with domestic violence in their towns and make recommendations to anyone listening to the show, what they should do if they are victims of domestic violence. The program plays on public access channels Comcast 8 and Verizon 35 on Friday at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at 4:30 p.m., and Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m.

Also, in a new episode of From the Hill, State Representative Jim Arciero talks with Peter Lucas, political columnist, on his career as a reporter and author. You can watch this program on public access channels Comcast 8 and Verizon 35 on Friday at 2 p.m., Saturday at 5 p.m., and Sunday and Monday at 7:30 p.m.
