Support For Jim Jarvie, Westford Selectman Candidate

Fresh ideas and objective views need to be integrated into all Boards and Committees. It's evident that some change in leadership is needed to deal with the upcoming issues.

April 30th represents an opportunity for all residents to evaluate those seeking leadership positions in our Town and determine whether these candidates can, or are currently providing the kind of direction that best suits the challenges that face us.  Having been actively involved in several appointed positions over the past 5 years, I believe that fresh ideas and objective views are necessary to be integrated into all volunteer Boards and Committees because the road ahead in so many ways is different from where we have come.  Because of this belief and his solid background, I urge all voters to support Jim Jarvie for Selectman.

As a member of the Finance Committee, Capital Planning Committee, Budget Solutions Task Force and Public Works Initiative Committee, I have first hand knowledge of how critical leadership will be in continuing to make Westford one of the great towns in our state.  I have also seen where there are opportunities for improvement in how decisions are made and how residents should be heard, along with how each leader uses their position to challenge one another.  While “politics” will always be present, it should be secondary to doing the work of the people and prioritizing the work that is necessary.  It is clear that change in leadership is necessary to achieve this.  Jim holds this same vision.

Jim brings a public service background to Westford and passion to get things done right.  This is not a political ambition, but rather one to continually make things better.  There is a wonderful opportunity to meet Jim and learn more about him on April 4th from 5:30-7:30 at the new Evviva Cucina restaurant in Cornerstone Square.  His website is http://jimjarvie.com/.

Supporting Jim will ensure that the right things get done right.
