The Truth about the Attempted Gun Grab by Bob Jefferies

Bob Jefferies advanced "Article 30" in order to "start a conversation" according to him. He wanted to make our town safer. Unfortunately we never really got to have that conversation and find out what his true motivations and goals were.

But I know what his goal was. And I do not have to guess because I have been sent a memo which was written from Bob Jefferies to Westford Police Chief McEnaney on January 16, 2013. In this memo Bob clearly states "the intent is to eliminate the above mentioned weapons and devices weapons [sic] physically from the town." He further goes on to state "I would also not exempt weapons possessed prior to September 13, 1994..."

Bob goes on further to point out that the issuing of class of license and restrictions imposed can be set by the "licensing authority." I believe this to be an attempt by him to influence Chief McEnaney to issuing licenses other than Class A LTC's and/or imposing restrictions on these licenses by the good citizens of Westford.

If you think that the issue of gun control in Westford is done, then stay home on Tuesday. But if you believe that if he is re-elected as selectman that Bob Jefferies will once again try to infringe on our Civil Rights then I urge you to vote for Jim Jarvie and Scott Hazelton.
